This series of talks unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of "The Song of God". 🔆 Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 13 Verse 1: श्रीभगवानुवाच | इदं शरीरं कौन्तेय क्षेत्रमित्यभिधीयते | एतद्यो वेत्ति तं प्राहु: क्षेत्रज्ञ इति तद्विद: || 2|| śhrī-bhagavān uvācha idaṁ śharīraṁ kaunteya kṣhetram ity abhidhīyate etad yo vetti taṁ prāhuḥ kṣhetra-jña iti tad-vidaḥ 🔴 The Blessed Lord said: This body, O son of Kunti, is called the Ksetra, the field (because the fruits of action are reaped in it). He who knows it (as his property) is the Ksetrajna or the Spirit who knows the field. So say those versed in this subject. 🔆 Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 13 Verse 2: क्षेत्रज्ञं चापि मां विद्धि सर्वक्षेत्रेषु भारत | क्षेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञयोर्ज्ञानं यत्तज्ज्ञानं मतं मम || 3|| kṣhetra-jñaṁ chāpi māṁ viddhi sarva-kṣhetreṣhu bhārata kṣhetra-kṣhetrajñayor jñānaṁ yat taj jñānaṁ mataṁ mama 🔴 Know Me, O scion of the Bharata race, to be the Ksetrajna (the Spirit) in all Ksetras (bodies). The knowledge of the distinction between Ksetra and Ksetrajna alone is real knowledge according to Me. |
