| Video Discription | This is the first of our Reds to give birth and judging by the enormous bellies being sported by the others, we won't have too long to wait for the next arrival. What you can see in the video is perfectly normal for a flying-fox and the head is born quite some time before the body emerges. It can take an hour or so before the body of the baby is delivered and following a couple of herculean pushes, mum catches the baby in her wings before guiding it to her nipple which is located in her wing pit. |
