Let’s start with iron supplements. Our bodies do not have a good way of eliminating excess iron, which can damage the liver. Too much iron can increase your risk of infection and also deplete zinc. Donating blood can help eliminate excess iron. If you have anemia, the best sources of iron are red meat, liver, grass-fed liver pills, or spleen extract.
