| Video Discription | (Turn on Youtube Subtitles for English Subtitles) Farewell of Slavianka is a Russian patriotic march, written by the composer Vasily Agapkin in honour of the Slavic women accompanying their husbands in the First Balkan War. The march was written and premiered in Tambov in the end of 1912. In summer of 1915 it was released as a gramophone single in Kiev. Slavyanka means "Slavic woman". The march was used as an unofficial anthem of Admiral Kolchak's White Army. In addition, the melody is used, with different lyrics, as the anthem of the Tambov Oblast. La marche fut représentée pour la première fois à Tambov en 1912 et sortit ensuite en disque. Slavianka signifie « slave » au féminin. La mélodie obtint une rapide popularité en Russie, mais aussi dans les pays voisins pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, alors que les soldats russes quittaient leurs foyers au son de cette musique. Cette marche fut également utilisée comme hymne non officiel de l'Armée blanche de l'amiral Alexandre Vassilievitch Koltchak. Actuellement, la marche est reconnue comme hymne de l'oblast de Tambov.
