Smt Girija, a PG in Bharathanatyam had a Guru Shishya relation with Smt Rukmini Devi (founder director Kalakshetra) for 11 years and has been part of many of the dance dramas choreographed by Smt Rukmini Devi herself. She is a winner of the Govt Of India Scholarship for advance studies in Bharatanatyam (1980 - 82). She is currently artistic director of Rtambhara, Kochi. In Conversation takes a trip down memory lane as Smt Girija talks about her days at Kalakshetra and her interaction with Great Gurus. |
