Likely due to maintenance, this bus now sounds a little different than before. From both the inside and outside, you can hear a high-pitched BAE transmission instead of the other regular 2013 XDE40s. It sounds exactly similar to the 2015 XDE60s, also known as the 6700s from Flynn division. For a further example, this also sounds a bit similar to the Orion #8510 that I got from before: https://youtu.be/RG5mTL98sM0?si=FE7ZZ3IzBZKFTVuy, which also sounds like that. Since this bus has a different sound, and it was on the 54 Felton the day I recorded, so it's perfect as that route has a lot of uphills! I was expecting a little less people onboard, as not a lot of passengers use the 54 to get to Daly City BART from Balboa Park, but I was wrong! Luckily I was able to secure this seat near the door as the back of this bus was a bit dirty. |
