Mantra is a matter of faith and it proves auspicious if one tries to understand the meaningfulness of the word used in a mantra , know the emotion underlying it and realises the significance of its sound and vibration. It's true practice lies in the purity of thought. While reciting the Namokara Mantra we are bowing down with respect to Arihantas, Siddhas, Achariyas , Upadhyayas, Sadhus and Sadhvis collectively who are called Panch Parmeshti (five supreme spiritual people) who have preached this path of leading an ordinary person to its true Swaroop or the original nature of soul that lies within us all. In this mantra we offer gratitude and worship their virtues/gunas (The good qualities). Love,Praise,Gratitude and Forgiveness are the main elements of spiritual progress. Recitation of this mantra helps one remember that the most ultimate goal of life is to achieve Moksha (liberation ) from the non-reality. |
